Trellint, in collaboration with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), has developed a cutting-edge service that integrates the DVLA’s new Keeper of a Vehicle at the Date of an Event API. This service revolutionises how vehicle keeper details are requested and processed, replacing the outdated batch system with real-time responses, delivering significant benefits to both new and existing back-office applications.
Previously, requests for vehicle keeper information were processed through a batch-based file system. This older method often resulted in inconsistent response times, delays, and occasional inaccuracies, impacting the speed and quality of case handling. The new API, now harnessed by Trellint’s service, addresses these challenges by providing instant, reliable, and secure access to the data required, ensuring faster and more accurate responses.
The service has already been successfully piloted, promising a smooth transition with minimal disruption to existing applications and processes. This partnership between Trellint and the DVLA will bring lasting improvements to the management of vehicle keeper inquiries, significantly enhancing both data quality and operational efficiency.
By adopting this real-time API service, Council clients can expect faster case resolutions, improved data accuracy, and a more streamlined approach to vehicle-related inquiries.
